Hybrid Town Hall – Employment Lands in Etobicoke-Lakeshore

Ward 3 Etobicoke-Lakeshore is home to a large share of Employment Lands within Toronto. While these lands are profoundly beneficial to our city, they can also present challenges for residents who live nearby.

Join us in-person or online for a community discussion led by Ward 3 City Councillor Amber Morley and key subject matter experts from City of Toronto staff for answers to questions like:

  • What does "Employment Areas" zoning mean and what types of uses are or are not permitted?

  • What approach does Toronto City Planning take with development proposals on these areas?

  • What strategies are available to protect residential neighbourhoods from negative impacts that may arise from being near employment lands?

We'll start the evening with an overview from City staff, then open the floor to a Q&A session.

Represented City staff will include:

  • City Planning – Community Planning

  • City Planning – Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Analysis

  • Economic Development

  • Transportation Services
